Which authority issues the apostille

No separate competent authority has been designated here, so documents issued in this jurisdiction are apostilled by Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa. The certificate is identical to a provincially issued one; the difference is a courier leg and the federal queue.

Documents issued in the Northwest Territories are apostilled by Global Affairs Canada. As with the other territories, the file travels by courier and never needs the client to travel with it.
